How To Get Started:

Step 1 – Registration and Online Payment
Officials are required to register and make the payment online on the Hockey Saskatchewan website:  hockeysask.ca/officials/registration Payment for clinic and membership fees will not be accepted at the clinics. The only money accepted at the classroom clinics will be for supplies (rule books, crests, manuals, etc.). Cash, cheques, and credit cards are accepted.

Step 2 - Online Modules
All officials must complete the required online modules prior to attending the classroom clinic. All Junior officials (17 and under, as of Dec. 31 of the current year) will complete the current year's Hockey Canada E-Hockey University Modules by logging in to the e-Hockey accounts and signing up for the modules, and all Senior officials will complete the new version of the Hockey Saskatchewan Senior online modules provided through an updated version of Moodle.  

Step 3 - Attend A Clinic
All officials must attend an in-person clinic.  Log in to your e-Hockey account to find a clinic and sign up for it.  Once you have completed Steps 1-3, you will be a certified official!

Step 4 - Let Us Know That You Are Certified!

Contact your MHA's Referees Division Assigner - CHRISTA PARENT - to let her know that you are a registered official and are ready to get out their and Earn Your Stripes.  Please send the form found on the link below to Christa if you are a new referee or a new referee to SMHA:

REMEMBER:  Certification is valid for ONE year.  Officials must re-certify every year!  Steps 1-3 must be completed by each official on a yearly basis to be able to officate that season!
