The Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association (SMHA) Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the appointment of Andrew Bailey as the association's new Executive Director.

Since joining SMHA in March 2025 as Manager of Development and Hockey Operations, Andrew has been a driving force in advancing our hockey programming and administrative operations. Over the past year and a half, his leadership has strengthened coach and player development initiatives, enhanced community engagement, and supported operational efficiency across all divisions.

Andrew brings a deep foundation of hockey experience and executive leadership to the Executive Director role. A native of Hazlet, SK, Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management from the University of Saskatchewan. His hockey background spans four seasons in the WHL with the Kootenay Ice, five seasons with the U of S Huskies Men’s Hockey team, and extensive coaching experience ranging from elite U18 AAA/AA and university programs to grassroots youth hockey within SMHA.

In his new role, Andrew will oversee strategic growth, day-to-day operations, and administrative leadership for SMHA, continuing his commitment to building a positive, structured, and rewarding environment for players, coaches, officials, and families across Saskatoon.
